Community Service
A strong commitment to the community in which we work and live is an integral part of being a good corporate citizen and employer. Avisco and our employees are actively involved in or financially support a range of organizations that make a difference in our community.
Some of the community endeavors that we are currently involved in or financially contributing to include:
- City of Knoxville, Tennessee’s Safety City Project which is a permanent educational facility that provides a creative and safe environment where elementary students have the opportunity to increase their knowledge and skills in pedestrian, vehicular, bicycle and fire safety, as well as emergency communications or E-911
- Wears Valley Ranch in Sevierville, TN which exists to provide homes and education for children from difficult situations
- The East Tennessee Technology Access Center (ETTAC) which is a regional nonprofit agency that helps people with disabilities gain knowledge about and access to assistive technology devices.
- Baptist Health System of East Tennessee’s The Annual Baptist Health Turkey Trot, “Race Against Heart Disease”
- Avisco, Inc. is developing site infrastructure for the Carroll Hollow Subdivision in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity of Anderson County’s initiative to provide affordable housing for participating families in Anderson County, TN
